Extended Warranty Plan – Terms & Conditions
1. Plan Overview:
The Extended Warranty Plan provides 1-year additional coverage for mechanical and electrical breakdowns starting immediately after the expiration of the manufacturer’s warranty. It replicates the original warranty coverage, extending protection against device malfunctions and offering a cashless, hassle-free service for repairs.
2. Eligibility:
- Available for products purchased through official sales channels.
- Must be purchased within 6 months of the device purchase.
- The plan is tied to the device’s Serial Number or IMEI and remains valid even if ownership is transferred.
- Coverage applies only to products purchased within Nepal.
3. Coverage:
- Covers inherent Mechanical and Electrical breakdowns, including labor charges, repair parts and logistics.
- Includes battery replacement, and software diagnostics and repairs for optimal device operation.
- The device can be repaired up to 3 times, subject to the benefit value, which is equal to the original purchase price adjusted to the depreciated value (details provided below).
- Repairs will be conducted at authorized service centers.
- Device replacement will be considered for devices classified as Beyond Economic Repair (BER).
4. Deductible Structure for High-Cost Repairs:
Deductibles apply for high-cost repairs:
- Repair under Rs 25000: No deductible.
- Repair between Rs 25001 - Rs 75000: Deductible of Rs 5,000.
- Repair above Rs 75,000: Deductible of Rs 10,000.
5. Beyond Economic Repair (BER) & Device Replacement:
- A device is considered BER if repair costs exceed 80% of the original invoice value.
- Replacement will be of the same or a comparable model. If a replacement is unavailable, the customer will receive a cash settlement based on the depreciated value of the device, minus any deductibles.
- The original device and accessories must be returned within 7 days to avoid deductions from the settlement amount.
6. Pro-Rata Refund and Cancellation:
- Full Refund: The plan can be canceled within 7 days of purchase for a full refund, provided no claims have been made.

Pro-Rata Refund: After 7 days, refunds will be calculated based on the unused portion of the plan, per the following schedule:
- Within 1-3 months: 80% refund.
- Within 4-6 months: 50% refund.
- Beyond 6 months of purchase the customer cannot claim a refund.
No refund is provided if a claim has been made during the coverage period.
7. Depreciation Schedule:
Depreciation is applied based on the age of the device when calculating settlement or repair costs:

8. Exclusions:
- Cosmetic damage like Scratches or Dents, wear and tear, accessories, unauthorized repairs, and issues occurring outside Nepal are not covered.
- Intentional damage, theft, negligence, and natural disasters are excluded.
- Software issues, third-party software incompatibility, and malware are not covered.
- Consumables and accessories like chargers are excluded.
9. Claim Process:
- Claims must be filed within 72 hours of identifying the breakdown.
- Zero documentation is required for standard claims, which are typically approved within 2 working hours.
- Claims can be initiated through the official customer support line.
10. Service Fulfillment:
- Services are provided via a pick-up/drop-off model or through authorized service centers.
- For device replacement or major repairs, the original device and accessories must be returned within 7 days.
11. Limitation of Liability:
- The provider’s liability is limited to the current market value of the device or the services rendered under the warranty.
- The provider is not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental damages, including data loss or commercial loss.
12. General Terms:
- This plan is valid only for devices purchased and used in Nepal.
- Customers must back up their data before submitting the device for repair, as the provider is not responsible for any data loss.
- The plan is non-transferable, except when the device is replaced under warranty, in which case the replacement device will carry over the remaining coverage.
